Thursday's Three

Today's three is about getting older. I don't have a problem getting older. Really. I just turned 42 & I have absolutely no problem with that. What I do have a problem with are the little annoying things that comes with it.

1. Being addressed as Ma'am-

I know in the south you come out of womb calling women Ma'am. I don't live in the South. I'm in New York. Here we reserve Ma'am for women over a "certain age"(not really discussed you just know when it's time to use it) or when we are being sarcastic- i.e.- replying "yes Ma'am" when being told to do something. Before that we usually say "Miss" or just "excuse me" to get a women's attention. I apparently have crossed over to the Ma'am side. Ugh.

2. Pimples & wrinkles at the same time-
Really?
Like one isn't bad enough I now have to worry about crows feet around my eyes and a big honkin' zit on my chin.Haven't I earned the right not to have zits because I have crows feet? This is just not right.

3. Gravity is no longer a friend-

Why does everything have to drop? My eyebrows, eyelids & cheeks all seem to be trying to make a slow escape off my face. I'm not really a botox kind of gal so I do the best with creams. Forget about the boobs  & butt. I can get them to look pretty decent during the day with the right under support but as soon as I take them off everything drops a few inches faster than rats running from a flood.

Getting older can really be a pain in the ass

  1. Love this! Too funny...I was called Ma'am a few weeks ago (and I live in CA). NOT HAPPY. But then last week I got carded when I ordered alcohol (much happier!).

Anyway, really new to the blogging world so I was checking out other blogs (just signed up with momblogs) and saw yours. Love it! You are a clever writer, have great info (love the recipes!) and it's all so organized! I'm inspired!
