Newest Re-do

My new favorite thing to do is to find furniture and accessories that need a make-over and give 'em one. Lets get something straight here though-I'm really not very good at it yet. If it wasn't for the makeover blogs I follow I would have never even thought about redoing some of the things I have.So don't expect to find any master pieces here just a few cute new additions to my home.

That being said here's my newest redo

I needed a new workbench for my studio and this table was just the size I was looking for. Loved that it had the rattan drawers. I got it at a yard sale for $5.00
Don't you love the my little pony drop cloth.

After 3 coats of black gloss spray paint it now looks like this

I had originally used a lacquer paint on it hoping would give it a slick shiny look.Big mistake. The wood sucked it up in certain places and left it dull while it left it super shiny in others. I was able to wipe alot of it off and start again with just a basic black.

I had some leftover aqua paint from another project and  sprayed the drawers that color.

The top already had wormholes and  dents which I just loved-adds character to an otherwise functional but bland table.

Total cost for project $11.00

  1. This is sooo my new hobby too! Love it! My husband has been prying the paint brush out of my hand, it's pathetic!
